The 2016 season was the 13th for Kerri (Holz) Huebel as the head coach of the Marian University women's volleyball team and third as assistant athletic director for compliance and student services.

Huebel heads the program she helped build as a player. As a freshman in 1997, Kerri helped her squad to a 29-5 season record just a year after going 9-24 in 1996. She was the setter on a team that went 116-27 (.811 winning percentage) in her four years, averaging 29 victories a season, setting school records for wins twice (29 in 1997 and 30 in 2000). Her teams also went a perfect 48-0 in four Lake Michigan Conference seasons, winning four regular season titles and four LMC Tournament titles as well, giving Huebel a perfect 61-0 record against LMC foes in her collegiate career. Additionally, the Sabres earned NCAA Tournament bids in Huebel’s junior and senior seasons.

Kerri finished with 5,266 career assists - sixth-most in NCAA Division III history at the time. She wrapped up her illustrious Sabre career ranked in the Top-5 in eight out of fourteen statistical categories. She still tops the list in school history in matches played (142), games played (501), assists (5,266), and assists per game (10.51), and is second in kill percentage, third in aces, and fifth in digs. She earned LMC Newcomer-of-the-Year honors as a freshman, while being named LMC All-Conference each year after that, highlighted by being tabbed LMC Player-of-the-Year as a senior in 2000.

Huebel graduated from Marian with a degree in Sports and Recreation Management and has since completed her Master of Arts in Sports Administration from Minnesota State University.

While at Mankato, she spent two years as the Graduate Assistant for the women’s volleyball team.

Kerri, her husband, Chris, their twin sons, Caden and Carson, and daughter Kendyl currently reside in Waupun.
