ASHLAND, Wis. - Marian University men's hockey (9-8-3, 7-5-1 NCHA) was shutout for the second-consecutive time falling to Northland in a 1-0 defensive battle.
The lone goal of the game came from the LumberJacks at the 16:57 mark of the second period when Northland was able to score shorthanded. The Sabres had double-digit shots in all three periods of the game finishing with a 36-26 advantage.
The Marian penalty kill was successful on all three attempts in the defeat pushing their streak of consecutive kills to 24.
The Sabres look for a split on the weekend traveling to St. Scholastica for a 4 p.m. puck drop tomorrow, Saturday, January 26.
