The Marian University Student-Athlete-Advisory Committee is comprised of student-athletes from the University intercollegiate athletic teams. The committee aims to promote collegiate athletics and improve student-athlete relations with students, faculty, administrators, and staff. The SAAC Committee helps organize various public service, educational and recreational events to serve the campus and the community. The committee also discusses, creates, and influences athletic policy at Marian.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Marian University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity for all student-athletes; protecting student-athlete welfare; and fostering a postive student-athlete image, while maintaining the tenants of Division III philosophy.
Our main goals in achieving this include
1. Foster communication between athletic administration, student-athletes, and teams
2. Offer feedback and insight into athletic department issues.
3. Generate a student-athlete voice in the formulation of athletic department policies.
4. Build a sense of community within the athletics program involving all athletic teams.
5. Encourage active involvement of student-athletes for community service projects.
6. Promote a positive image of athletics on campus by generating excitement for our unique community of high-achieving student-athletes.
7. Provide personal growth opportunities for student-athletes through leadership skill development.
8. Create an open forum for safe dialogue among student-athletes.
9. Provide educational programming to athletes and non-athletes on campus.
The purpose of SAAC is to enhance the total student-athlete experience.
